What happened to Pramp?

Pramp still exists, but not as a standalone site. Pramp joined Exponent, and since July 2024 all new Pramp sessions are hosted on Exponent Practice — the old Pramp homepage says it is "still free." Visiting pramp.com today sends you to that practice platform.

In 2026, Exponent itself rebranded as Aced. The site still lives at the Exponent domain and describes Pramp as part of its "family of brands." So when people search for "Pramp" today, the product they end up using is peer mock interviews on Aced (formerly Exponent).

The platform now also promotes its own AI Interviewer alongside peer practice, linked from an upgrade page. If that is what you are after, check which plan includes it before you rely on it.

A human is better at some things

• Live technical collaboration. Talking through an algorithm while someone watches your code is its own skill. A peer on a shared editor reproduces that pressure well.
• Unpredictable follow-ups. A person interrupts, misunderstands, and asks "why?" in ways you cannot rehearse.
• Interviewer's-eye view. On Pramp you also play the interviewer, which teaches you what a strong answer looks like from the other side of the table.

An AI interviewer is better at others

• Availability. No scheduling and no waiting for a match. You can run an interview the night before, or several in one day.
• Your own resume. AI Interviewer Tech reads your CV and asks about your actual experience. A peer typically works from a question set, not your history.
• Consistency. Every answer is scored against the same per-question criteria. Peer feedback depends on who you were matched with — another candidate who is still preparing too.
• Any field. Pramp's topics are centered on tech, product, data and finance roles. AI Interviewer Tech works for any field as long as the interview is in English.
• No half-session cost. In a peer session, part of your hour is spent interviewing someone else.

How AI Interviewer Tech works

1. Upload your resume. PDF or DOCX, maximum 10MB, in English.
2. Add the target position and job description (optional). With them, the AI analyzes more deeply and tailors the interview more closely.
3. The AI builds a realistic interview. Intro first, then theory and practical questions about the role and the real experience in your CV.
4. Answer in English. Any field works.
5. Get scored. Each answer is graded against criteria specific to that question, the scores are totalled, and you get passed or failed.

Limits: up to 5 interviews per day. Inappropriate language triggers an immediate ban — the rate limit is set to 5, so no further interviews can be started.

How Pramp peer mock interviews work

1. Pick what to practice — for example Data Structures & Algorithms, System Design, Behavioral or Product Management.
2. Schedule a session. Join one later today or pre-schedule an hour-long slot.
3. Get matched with a peer preparing for the same kind of interview, based on availability, experience, education, practice topics and target companies.
4. Take turns. Over video, with collaborative tools such as a code editor, one of you interviews while the other answers, then you switch.
5. Exchange feedback — detailed notes for each other using realistic rubrics.

Pramp's feedback is only as good as your partner. The rubrics give structure, but your partner is another candidate, not a hiring manager, and may be less or more experienced than you. Some sessions will be excellent; others less so. Because matching is by schedule, you also depend on your partner showing up.

AI Interviewer Tech's feedback is the same every time: per-question criteria, a total score and a passed or failed result. You won't get a human's intuition, but you will get a consistent benchmark — which is what you need to tell whether your third attempt is actually better than your first.
